A blog for busy corporate executives wanting to improve the leadership culture of their organization.
The March Executive Circle call featured Ralph de la Vega, Retired Vice Chairman, AT&T Inc., Chairman & Founder, de la Vega Group. Ralph de la Vega has a personal story few can match. His life started as a child fleeing from Fidel Castro’s Cuba and ultimately led to key leadership positions at telecommunications giants such as AT&T and Cingular Wireless.
The February Executive Circle call featured Carly Fiorina, Retired Chief Executive Officer of Hewlett-Packard. Fiorina drew attention to two key ideas: Leaders are problem solvers even at the risk of criticism, and leaders ask questions, particularly the kind that get translated into solutions. Carly insightfully states, “Almost no matter what the expectations are, when you produce results and solve problems, people pay attention and opportunity knocks.”
